You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently. -Psalm 119:4 (ESV)

Word Meanings

precepts: precept, statute

kept: keep, guard, watch and ward, protect, save life, wait for, observe, restrain, treasure up (in memory), celebrate, perform (vow), preserve, protect, reserve, take heed, abstain, pay heed

diligently: exceedingly, much, might, abundance, force, to a great degree

There should be nothing passive about relating to God’s Word. Am I diligent in studying and applying it? Do I give myself wholeheartedly and often to reading and meditating upon it?
